QCF Diploma levels in Business & Administration

QCF Diploma levels in Business & Administration are aimed at staff working in administration across all occupations and sectors of employment.

Like all QCF Diploma levels these qualifications are competence based. This means that it is linked to the candidate's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Candidates plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable in their work role.

How Much the Course Cost?

For those candidates who are not legible to access National Apprenticeship Services, we offer discounted prices for QCF Diploma levels 2, 3 and 4.

How long to complete the course

QCF Diploma is candidate led, meaning that it depends on the progress made by the candidate. However, the course is programmed to be completed in four months minimum or six months maximum.

QCF Diploma Level 1

Level 1 qualification is intended for individuals whose role involves carrying out routine administrative activities requiring a high level of supervision. The individual will be working as part of a team and will be providing support to colleagues, customers and clients. The individual's work situation will provide the opportunity to be involved in a range of administration activities. For example: welcoming visitors, handling mail, using office equipment, storing and retrieving information. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete four units, including two mandatory units and two optional units.

QCF Diploma Level 2

Level 2 qualification is intended for individuals, whose role involves carrying out a broad range of administrative activities, requiring a limited amount of supervision and working with some autonomy. The individual will be working as part of a team ensuring the provision of information and resources to others. The individual's work situation will provide the opportunity to be involved in a range of administration activities. For example: managing customer relations, managing diary systems, organising business travel and accommodation, organising and supporting meetings, using various software, preparing text from a variety of sources. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete five units, including two mandatory units and three optional units.

QCF Diploma Level 3

Level 3 qualification is intended for individuals whose role involves carrying out administrative duties with a considerable amount of responsibility and autonomy. The individual will be contributing to the development and implementation of administrative services within the organisation, and have a substantial amount of administrative experience. Their administrative duties will include: supervising an office facility, managing and evaluating customer relations, monitoring information systems, running projects, planning, organising and supporting meetings, making presentations, using various software, planning and implementing innovation and change, providing leadership, preparing text from a variety of sources. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete six units, including two mandatory units and four optional units.

QCF Diploma Level 4

Level 4 qualification is intended for individuals who are working at a senior level with considerable responsibility for the management of systems and resources, working with an extensive degree of autonomy. The individual's role will involve developing and monitoring facilities and resources to maintain an administrative service within the organisation. Their duties will include: managing an office facility, managing contracts, negotiating and agreeing budgets, monitoring and reviewing the implementation of corporate objectives, strategies and policies, informing and facilitating corporate decision making, creating and managing information systems, chairing meetings. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete six units, including two mandatory units and four optional units.
